Bardo State: A definition for the place where the soul goes in between incarnations; a place of rest and to review lessons learned in different lives.

Behavior: The activity of organisms.

Behavior Modification: Application of principles of learning to change or eliminate unwanted or abnormal behavior.

Beta State: Our most active mental state. You are most likely in beta right now! Behavior: The activity of organisms. Rhythms in the EEG of a frequency of about 25 per second.

Bind of comparable alternatives: Used by Milton Erickson it gives client a choice between two or more alternatives offering the illusion of choice: Would you like to go into a light trance, or a medium trance or a deep trance today? Or, what you hear may be used in your personal life, or perhaps in your career, or incorporate it into your life experience.

Biofeedback: A technique allowing a person to monitor and control his or her own internal bodily functions.

Bodily Image: The person's perception of self.

Brain: The central nervous system above the spinal cord. Often mistakenly referred to as the Mind.

Brainstem: The major route by which the forebrain sends information to and receives information from the spinal cord and peripheral nerves. It controls, among other things, respiration and regulation of heart rhythms.

Bruxism: The grinding or gnashing of one's teeth, usually in an unconscious state.
